Life is too short so love the one you got
I went to the Caltech party yesterday. This involved missing one bus route due to a bus driver that decided buses can drive on grass, getting stranded on Broadway & 3rd after chasing a bus from Broadway & 6th, walking/running to Union Station with the help of a cat-based phone guide, and taking a train to Pasadena where Matt picked me up.
The students put a lot of work into the party. Each one of the houses had their own elaborate constructions. The themes for the decorations of each house included: Soviet Russia, Apocalypse, Speakeasy, Peter Pan. I liked the people there quite a bit. It was a fairly comfortable environment for me.
I went to lunch with Matthew's relatives on Sunday. Matthew gave me a ride back to UCLA afterwards. I'm very glad I didn't try taking public transport back from where we were. That wouldn't have been very fun.
On a side note, I'm actually putting some more thought into Squirrel Muffins so it should be back up and running with new features and at least one comic up per week.
