Welcome to the planet, welcome to existance

I think I did pretty well on finals. I got the grades I predicted I'd get at last quarter. I remember eatting a chorizo and egg torta at Rootie's sometime at the beginning of finals week. I drove around with a car full of people (7 seats in my van) for the first time in months on Wednessday. I think the last time I drove around with that many people in my van might have been almost a year ago. I went up to Mt. Palomar for a night with George, Matthew, and Taylor on Thursday. I found out that the mini-dipper is a constellation, but I always seem to forget the name of it within a minute of being told.

I've narrowed the range of music I listen to recently so I started compensating by finding lots of music I like but never listen to. I've been listening to Air's Talkie Walkie album, Spoon's Gimme Fiction album, Jimmy Eat World's Bleed America, Meatloaf, Sage Francis' A Healthy Distrust album, Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, The Shins, The Postal Service's Give Up album, Sister Hazel, Interpol, Aphex Twin, and Cream.

I've been to Tapioca Heaven too many times in the past week... as usual. I had pho for the first time yesterday. It was a beef and noodle pho. The broth was addicting.

May angels lead you in
Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads, the sleepless go
May angels lead you in

oh my beautiful liar

The song Inner Meet Me by The Beta Band uses many of the same sound effects as Junge Love by The Steve Miller Band. I don't know if I can ever look at this song as anything but a spawn of the evils of Jungle Love. That's too bad.

I've been listening to Nine Inch Nails and studying for my math final all day. I need to get a 96% on the final to get an A in the class, so my chances aren't great but they definately exist. Mmmm. Tea time.

I am happy just because I found out I am really no one

I've been swamped with work recently. I have fit in a little bit of fun though. Brian, Jennifer, and myself listened to Alice's Restaurant on the way to Tapioca Heaven yesterday. I hung out with Kyle for a while before Rocky yesterday. He was wearing a completely orange suit and I was wearing all black so together we were Halloween. Jonathan was the only Rocky virgin in our group last night. Rocky was pretty good, but I think I'll take a break from it for a while (I was going to take a break after last month and didn't). Most of us went to Denny's afterwards. Kyle and Chris were also at Denny's.

I worked on Comp Sci labs all day yesterday. I saw Memoirs of a Geisha with Kristin, Jeremy, and Brian (from my math class). It was a pretty good movie. I like how it progressed but I thought some of the scenes could have been shot better. Jeremy, Kristin, and I went to Tapioca Heaven afterwards. I had a chocolate mousse bomb for the first time. Mmmm. I've been working on Comp Sci since I got home about five hours ago. I'm almost done with all of my labs.

Arlo Guthrie and Aerosmith aren't 21 and up and Styx's concert in Anaheim isn't 21 and up. Queen with Paul Rodgers is playing at the Cox arena on April 01! But... I hate the fact that most concerts in San Diego that I'd even consider going to are 21 and up only. This includes Cake, Styx, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, INXS.

Things aren't as pretty on the outside

I should make a LAN gaming place and name it Lanplantation. On second thought, I could just wait till someone else comes up with the same idea and then sue them because I thought of it first. Speaking of soup, food it good. Earl grey tea, pita bread, humus, and See's candy are yummy (candy after the bread and humus of course not with it). Today was a Math, Harvey Mudd essay, music day (not in that order). I made a post on Audiblog and His sonic monkey's ephemeral genius blog about trippy music. Fun fun fun.

There's a glowing light caressing my mind

Mint tea, Nyquil, banana splits, and Dream Theatre... That was the last two hours of my life in a nutshell. The first day back to school wasn't bad. It fills in a bit of the mental void I developed over break at some point. I think I'll be trying to do work and not seeing people much this week. Vibe. Sleep.

Your ears are full of the language
There’s wisdom there you’re sure
’til the words start slurring
And you can’t find the door

So give me coffee and tv
History
I’ve seen so much
I’m goin blind

I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in

Lots of food. Lots of drink. Bottle and a half of Martinelli's. Damn you Anthony! Queen in the spa. Pulp fiction. Sleep. Food. Lots of music. I went running tonight. Submitted my Caltech application. I'm currently listening to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club band. I'll probably listen to Blur next. Deja vu... how strange. Sickness of stomach, mind, or heart weakens. Sickness of stomach, mind, and heart destroys.
